Sometimes blind dates can turn out to be a real disaster. Back in 2011 a 23-year-old woman from South Wales named Leah Gibbs went out on a blind date with the 21-year-old Adam Minton. The woman later described her experience as “first date sent from hell”.
The two met on Facebook and Adam invited Leah to his house to watch some DVDs. When the date was over Adam asked Leah to drive him in her car to a local betting shop nearby his house. Leah agreed and they went to the designated spot. Leah waited patiently in her car for Adam to come back hoping her she would eventually end up in her arms. But when Adam came back he was carrying a bag full of cash and a knife. He jumped into the vehicle and screamed at her to drive as fast as possible.
Terrified Leah did what she was told and drove back to Adam’s place. This was when she dropped him off and decided that the date was over. Eventually, after a very quick investigation the cops found them at Adam’s place and arrested both for committing the robbery. Luckily, Adam confessed he tricked Leah to become his getaway driver and she was not imprisoned. On the other side Adam received four and a half years in prison for his crime.
