A probation officer from Harvey, Louisiana, was driving in her car on an average day like any other day when she stumbled across something completely extraordinary. It turned out to be more than $223,000 in cash!
The probation officer, Jessica Luebke, saw a huge package lying on the road. She pulled over and found that the package consisted of $20 and $100 banknotes, which altogether added up to exactly $223,600. Jessica immediately called the Sheriff’s office and waited for the police officers. It turned out that the money came from an armored truck, which had been transporting it from Boomtown Casino. The truck crew explained to the police that they immediately retraced their steps in order to find out where they had lost the money.
The money was deposited in a bank shortly after. Jessica told the media that it never crossed her mind to use the money for personal indulgence.
