Shenise Farrell really wanted blue eyes but was born with brown. Instead of opting for colored contact lenses she decided to go for a surgery. She gathered all of her savings and flew to a clinic in Panama. However, the surgery didn’t turn out as successful as Shenise believed it would.
According to reports, the woman underwent a short and extremely painful surgery during which Dr. Delary Alberto Kahn placed silicon disks over her irises. This microsurgery cost Shenise $8,000 but at that time she never knew the consequences would cost her so much more. After the surgery Shenise’s eyesight was blurred and she couldn’t even see her way through the airport. She had told her family she was going on a vacation but the truth came out when she needed another surgery in order to remove the silicon disks.
At the thought of completely losing her eyesight and not being able to see her children again, Shenise realized the first surgery had been the biggest mistake of her life.
