A UK woman is probably going to stay away from banks in the near future after she got locked inside one for hour and a half earlier this month.
The unnamed woman tried to make an enquiry regarding her account at a Natwest branch in central London, but ended up in infuriated and still without an answer regarding her enquiry. The bank’s manager let the woman sit in a quiet side room in the branch in question to calm down. The woman tried to call the central customer services department of Natwest and was put on hold. When she finally ran out of patience, she tried to find the manager, but instead found herself in a locked bank. It turned out the bank’s staff had completely forgotten about her. The situation became infinitely worse when she tried to attract the attention of passers-by for help, as the bank’s alarm went off when she tried to approach the exit. The police told her they wouldn’t be able to help her any time soon, as did the bank’s alarm control.
She was finally freed by a delivery man 90 minutes later.
