People all around India are getting excited over a newborn three-eyed cow.
Two weeks ago a baby calf was born in Tamil Nadu, India. The baby cow is special to the locals, because it was born with a third eye right on its forehead. Its owner, Meghala, named it after the Hindu god Shiva with a good reason – shortly after the calf was born masses of people started visiting the creature and praying to it. Hindus from all around the country believe the cow is an incarnation of their god Shiva. They travel countless miles in order to see the majestic creature and rub it for luck and good fortune. The cow is now a grand attraction in India and even small children are being encouraged to pray to it or touch it.
Shiva is considered as a primary god among Hindus, since he’s the god of yoga and arts and is often portrayed as the slayer of dreadful demons.
