Tom Attwater is a 31-year-old dad who wants the best for his daughter. That might be true for most dads but the difference is Tom needs to share everything he wants with his daughter as he has very limited time to spend with her due to having a terminal brain tumor. What is more, Tom is trying to raise $820,000 for his daughter Kelli’s treatment. The 5-year-old girl has beat cancer twice but is likely to relapse therefore she needs to undergo the expensive pioneer treatment in US. So far Tom has managed to raise almost $350,000. The dad suffers a lot from the fact that he would not be around to guide Kelli and give her fatherly advice about life. He decided to write it all in a letter for her to read when she grows up.
Tom expressed his deepest sorrow that he was going to miss the most important moments of Kelli’s life: her starting school, going on a first date, getting married. He advised her on always following her dreams, treating others with respect and valuing family above all. Finally, Tom thanked his daughter for being in his life and teaching him about love and life more than anyone else. He assured Kelli he would always be watching over her.
