A teacher in Florida school could get fired after enforcing discipline with really unusual method.
If you’ve seen the movie “Up”, you are familiar with the so called “cone of shame”. Laurie Bailey-Cutkomp, a 47 years old teacher in Zephyrhills High School, Florida, thought it was a good idea to use “the cone of shame” for punishment. Students with bad behaviour was forced to wear the cone-shaped dog collar, but someone post pics on Facebook and the story came to light.
After the school authorities found out about the humiliating methods of Laurie Bailey-Cutkomp, they suspended her from teaching immediately. At an official hearing she said that she never wanted to insult or humiliate anyone, and the whole idea of “the cone of shame” has been a joke, yet a mistake. Now it’s up to the school board to decide if she will lose her job permanently.
