The LEGO bricks are amazing not just for children. The various construction bricks are used even by grownups and some of those uses are so spectacular that they become an instant hit. Take the LEGO jet engine, the Volvo, and James May’s two story house. But a life-size drivable car has to top the list of the most incredible stuff built of LEGO bricks.
Raul Oaida, a 20 year old genius from Romania, has partnered up with Steve Sammartino, an Australian entrepreneur, for the Super Awesome Micro Project, which is anything but micro. Their project actually turned into a world-first instant hit. The project’s subject was building a life-size drivable car from LEGO bricks. And now it’s a fact! After gaining world-wide recognition and 40 investors, the two men finally tested their LEGO car. It’s completely drivable, it runs on air and it has 256 pistons and 4 orbital engines.
The Super Awesome LEGO car has a two-seated seat and it can reach up to 30km/h. The car isn’t very fast, but is still impressive enough.
