Sometimes it’s unbelievable how social media can ruin lives. However, a California guy was more than pleased when Twitter cost him his job.
Back in 2009 when Tim Chantarangsu from Long Beach, California, was working as a server at a California Pizza Kitchen restaurant, he loved his white shirt and red tie uniform. However, the restaurant chain decided to change their uniforms with black buttoned up shirts and plain black trousers, which apparently didn’t please Tim since they made him look too petite. In order to release his anger on the change of uniforms, he logged into his Twitter and ranted about the new uniform. He didn’t think anyone would see the tweeted message, but the company did. Somehow they managed to track Tim down and contacted the Long Beach restaurant he was working at. Two days after the restaurant’s manager had a small chat with Tim about violating the company’s policy, the guy got fired.
Nevertheless, Tim stated he was never happier and made a YouTube video telling his story.
