Zack Zehnder is a pastor at the Cross Mount Dora church in Florida. He jokingly offered free-of-charge tattoos to his congregation which supposedly the church would pay for. However, he didn’t expect that so many of his church members would take up on his offer. Even though he was rather surprised how popular tattoos turned out to be, pastor Zack didn’t hesitate to pay out of his own pocket for dozens of church members’ to get the church logo inked.
What is more, the pastor assumes that the church logo tattoos would make good conversation starters and spark interest in the church in non-members. Even though the story with the tattoos makes the church look quite unorthodox, congregation members share that in fact it isn’t that progressive at all as they are very conservative in their beliefs. Yet, pastor Zack believes that the tattoos would be good for their church in the long run as they would make people see his congregation as a group of creative and unique people who think outside of the box.
