Not long time ago an enraged Call of Duty online player decided to take vengeance on another player that kept shooting him down mercilessly in the game. Somehow the evil teenager who had lost discovered his victim’s IP address and located his exact whereabouts.
The loser of CoD then decided to play a dangerous game called “Swatting” and make a phony call to the police. He impersonated his victim by using his exact name and address in Long Island and added he had just murdered his mother and was about to continue his shooting spree. The long Island police force dispatched immediately the SWAT teams, emergency response teams, a helicopter and another 50-60 police officers to the home of the “swatting” victim.
The officers were expecting to witness a true battlefield and were ready for war but only discovered the 17-year-old Rafael Castillo from Long Beach quietly playing the first person shooter game in his room. The police are currently investigating the electronic footprint that the hoaxer left in order to bring him to justice.
