If you’re willing to go to the cinema in order to watch Madagascar 3, you probably won’t appreciate it if the cinema screened a scary horror movie instead. And imagine how upset you would be if you even brought your kid with you.
In 2012 a cinema in Nottingham, UK, did a major fiasco, which could have been the end of Cineworld in Nottingham. Instead of showing Madagascar 3 to a room full of children the screening showed Paranormal Activity 4. Parents realized they weren’t screening the funny animation, but it was too late. The first few minutes of the horror movie showed a bloody scene, which probably caused nightmares among numerous kids. As children were screaming on the tops of their little lungs, parents rushed their families out of the cinema. According to reports, some of the children were even as young as 5.
A spokesperson for Nottingham’s Cineworld explained that there was a technical mistake. The angry parents and scared kids were given full refund and complimentary tickets. They were also invited to the later projection of Madagascar 3.
