There is probably anything more despairing for a parent than having a child with special needs who can’t properly walk or walk at all. But this sad reality did not stop a mother named Debby Elnatan find a unique solution for her son.
Recently, she had a brilliant idea that has the potential to make the lives of thousands of wheelchair-bound children across the world walk again. Elnatan’s boy has cerebral palsy and is deprived of the ability to walk. This is why Elnatan came up with the really simple but effective idea to create a special harness for her son. Her invention is called “Upsee” . It is basically a harness that gives children with special needs the ability to stand up straight while being attached to an adult.
Luckily after months of searching the Israeli mother was able to find a manufacturing company that can mass produce her invention. The company that agreed to do this is called Lecky and is based in Northern Ireland. Giving children who can’t walk the opportunity to experience how it feels like to actually walk is more than heartwarming.
