Chistopher Kelly,31, went for a drunk night out with his friends. They wandered off to a beach where Kelly, supposedly, fall asleep as he had consumed too much alcohol. When he woke up several hours later his clothes and shoes were gone and his friends had left him behind.
Wet and freezing, Kelly was roaming around town when he saw an open window and managed to climb in. The building happened to be the local Town Hall. Kelly found a cell phone, which he used to call his friends, and a ‘Grim Reaper’ costume. As he didn’t have any clothes on, apart from his underwear, he put the fancy outfit on and left the building, taking the cell phone with him. Still drunk, he wandered off to the police station which was unmanned at the time. Police arrived a couple of hours later and found Kelly there, still in the Grim Reaper costume.
Later, after being taken into custody, Kelly admitted trespassing and burglary but he had no recollection, whatsoever, of very he got the Grim Reaper outfit from. He was given a six month conditional discharge.
