A South African resident named Nelson Thabo Modupe recently made the headlines with a shocking demand. The man, who is a devoted member of the Zion Christian Church, wants that the South African company “Eskom”, providing with power and electricity the whole area of Johannesburg, to pay him more than $18 million. The congregation of the Zion Christian Church is strongly devoted to the Christian faith and they pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ. They believe in the power of the Prophecy and that Prophets are sent on Earth to purify our sins through confession and prayer.
According to Modupe his strong religious belief and powerful prayers during the 2010 Soccer World Cup prevented devastating power shortages and cuts which could have ruined the global event. In his official letter sent to “Eskom” Modupe states that his prayers to God stopped the dangerous lightnings and wind which could cause an electric power cut. If the company does not want to directly pay up, Modupe will agree to a partnership position in Eskom as well.
His claim is yet to be examined in the courts of Johannesburg.
