Robbing a bank is a tough deal and some serious crime. However, getting away with it seems to be more difficult rather than actually robbing the bank. At least that’s the case of the 40 year old Thomas Bayse.
Bayse decided to rob a bank in St. Louis, Missouri, but never thought he’d be caught by a casual citizen, who just happened to be in the area. While Bayse was running away from the crime scene at the Commerce Bank, Doug Lesar chased him down a street and managed to hold him down by pinning him to the ground with the strength of his own body. Other people gathered around the two men, joking about the situation, probably oblivious to the fact that Bayse had just robbed the near bank. Lesar sat on Bayse until the police showed up four minutes later.
Bayse was charged with robbery and the day was saved.
