Earlier this month James Collins from Ft. Pierce, Florida, really wanted to drink with his neighbors. However, they weren’t interested in becoming drinking buddies with Collins, so he did what no emotionally hurt person would do – call 911.
Police officers were sent to his home only to find out that the domestic disturbance was nothing more than a lonely and complaining Collins. He told police officers that his neighbors were being mean to him. The constables left after having a serious discussion with Collins about the misuse of emergency service number 911. However, Collins still thought that his case was a serious emergency, because he picked up the phone and called 911 half an hour after the officers had left.
The second time police officers arrived at his home, Collins was already reeking of alcohol and still complaining about his neighbors. He was arrested and charged with intoxication and misuse of 911. No wonder his neighbors didn’t want to drink with him – who on Earth would call 911 for something like this?
