Orlando Serrell suffered a blow on the head by a baseball when he was 10 years old. The impact caused the young boy to fall down on the ground. He eventually got up and went back home but never told his parents about the incident thus no medical care was sought.
It is believed that Mr.Serrell is an “acquired savant”, which is the definition for people who acquire more knowledge or abilities as a result of a trauma or disease of the central nervous system. Today, he is able to perform above-human calendar calculations, which are usually performed by computers only. The man with the unique memory can also remember what the weather was and what his whereabouts were for every single day following the incident.
There are other cases of people who have gained incredible knowledge and abilities as a result of an illness or a trauma, but unfortunately a very small percent of them are able to actually use this super-human ability in everyday life.
