The 23-year-old Nathan Slinkard from Greenfield, Indiana recently shocked his father when he finally returned home after being away for more than 18 years.
When his parents divorced 18 years ago Nathan’s mother, Trena Slinkard, decided to ignore the law system in the US and abducted her three children. The father, Steve Slinkard, had just filed an official motion in the court in an attempt to win full custody over the 5-year-old Nathan, his sister Sydney and his other sibling Andrew.
When the mother and her three children disappeared, they were nowhere to be found. It wasn’t until the 23-year-old Nathan entered the US consulate located in Guadalajara, Mexico and successfully proved his identity, when some new evidence about the cold case emerged. His father finally received some positive news about his missing family and was able to greet his son at the airport. According to Nathan his brother and sister were perfectly fine and were not confined to return to the US whenever they want to. No other information about the case is known because the family has requested privacy.
