Recently two girls named Erin and Zoe Fullerton born and raised in the town of Escondido just North of San Diego, California experienced something truly unimaginable. Both girls were a part of the Girl Scouts and were collecting money by selling cookies in front of a groceries store.
The girls were raising funds for “Operation Thin Mint” which is a voluntary program that supplies the U.S. troops deployed on military missions overseas with fresh cookies and aid. Unfortunately, while the Fullerton’s were selling the cookies a man aged between 19 and 22 came out of the store and stole their collection jar. The culprit ran away with more than $45 of the Girl Scouts’ hard earned cash. To make his crime even more demeaning, he was laughing the whole time while running away with the collection jar.
The suspect got into a dark colored Acura with a Californian licence plate 6KBC407 while they were 3 others in the vehicle.
Although the little girl scouts were scared of continuing to sell cookies after the robbery, they received unimaginable support by the local community. Now, after the word got out their cookie sales are going through the roof and they have collected more than $300 in proceedings. The Fullertons also hope the police apprehends the bad laughing robber as soon as possible.
