Andrew Vactor received an unusual sentence from an Illinois judge.
Back in 2008 Vactor was reportedly playing his rap music way too loud in his car out in public. His actions landed him in court and Judge Susan Fornof-Lippencott sentenced him to a $150 fine. She told Vactor that his fine could be reduced to only $35 if he agreed to listen to the music of Chopin, Back and Beethoven for 20 straight hours. Vactor agreed to it. However, he lasted only through 15 minutes of his sentence. He claimed that the classical music didn’t bother him that much, but he needed to leave for a basketball practice, so he paid the whole fine instead of listening to old classics.
Judge Fornof-Lippencott said that she had given similar sentences to other defendants in the past. Her aim was to reduce the guy’s fine and to broaden his horizons.
