Scott Neeson was the head of 20th Century Fox International and had a high flying career. However, one day he decided to leave all the Hollywood glamour behind and go to Cambodia to help the children there rooting in the garbage dumps.
Neeson was in Phnom Penh, helping out children who were sorting garbage and looking for recyclables surrounded by burning waste and toxic fumes, when he got a phone call. It was the agent of a movie star who wanted to complain about the entertainment onboard the private jet sent by 20th Century Fox to fly the actor to the shooting location.
This was when Neeson had an epiphany and realized his life was going in the wrong direction. He sold his L.A. mansion, his Porsche, yacht and all the valuables he no longer needed and dedicated all his time and resources to help the Cambodian children. Neeson states that the Hollywood life had its perks but after he took his ego out of it he feels he is doing something really valuable with his time.
