Word of Warcraft is one of the most epic and successful massively multiplayer online role-playing (MMORPG) games on the face of this planet. The game was designed and distributed by Blizzard Entertainment and was first released on November 23, 2004 exactly on the 10th anniversary of the beginning of the Warcraft franchise. The game currently also holds the Guinness World Record for most popular MMORPG game based on subscribers with more than 7 million worldwide playing.
What is even more amazing about the game is actually how addictive it is. There are very few situations in life which can drive a person completely insane and make him smash an expensive piece of electronics. Most of them are facilitated by severe WoW addiction. In a viral video uploaded on YouTube several years ago we witnessed how a seemingly distraught girlfriend deleted her boyfriend’s level 80 characters in the game. She did this incredibly cruel act when her man was out to buy provisions for his all-night gaming session. When he returned back to his computer he discovered the dreadful situation and his champions deleted. His reaction was priceless.
