In 2005, the then 18 year old Jessica Sandy Booth hired an undercover police constable, believing him to be a hit-man, in order to kill four men. The reason behind Booth’s actions was a block of completely ordinary white cheese, which she had mistaken for an illegal substance.
Booth, an aspiring model, told the police officer that she needed $7,900 in order to pay a model agency. That, at least, was the reason she claimed to need the “drugs.” Unfortunately for her, the hitman was recording their conversation.
Jessica Booth was arrested and charged for four counts of attempted murder. The home of the four men was searched with their permission and no illegal substances were found. It became clear that the “drugs” were actually nothing more than a block of queso fresco cheese.
