More than a decade ago a man from Leesburg, Florida named Michael Tonwsend decided to put his artistically creative mind into action. As he was walking by the construction site of the new shopping mall he noticed that an empty space in the garage was built. After the opening of the Providence Place Mall the self-proclaimed public artist and his buddies decided to put the abandoned space into use and give it a more practical use.
Townsend built a fully furbished secret living room inside the abandoned garage space. He managed to live there for more than four years before he finally got discovered by security. Townsend used to bring his wife and family as well as his buddies inside the secret room to entertain them. After getting caught he was charged with trespassing. Townsend admitted he did not want to be discovered because the security guards of the shopping mall would be greatly embarrassed.
