A family residing in Lakeland, Florida, US, was quite shocked to discover an uninvited guest taking a dive in their swimming pool – a 9 foot long alligator!
Craig Lear was letting his family’s pet cats in their house’s yard on the 1st of March this year when he saw some bubbles coming out of the swimming pool in front of their house. The man initially thought that some neighbor’s golf ball might have flown on his property through the screen fence. However, when he took a peak at the pool, he didn’t find a golf ball. Instead, much to his shock, he discovered a massive alligator taking a swim in the water.
Mr. Lear alarmed his family about the uninvited guest and they called a local wrangler, who came to the rescue. The man was able to use a lasso tool in order to capture the gigantic creature, which reportedly was 9 foot long. The wrangler tired the alligator in the swimming pool before he finally got it out of there and eventually led it away from the Lear family’s property. Mr. Lear’s wife, Laura, took a short video of the wrangler and his struggles with the big alligator and later shared it with a local news channel before it went viral all over the web. The video, which is just over a minute long, is quite terrifying on its own so we can only imagine the fright it must have been to watch the events live.
Mr. Lear and his family stated that the alligator had managed to make a hole in their screen fencing, which is how he got inside their yard in the first placed – and eventually had made it all the way to their swimming pool.
