Anna and Mark Landgrebe from Montville, New Jersey at first seem like a regular couple but when you find out about their Saturday night occupation you understand that is not so. Instead going out for dinner and a movie, Mark and Anna get into their bus and head to Manhattan to feed the homeless.
The couple started their project back in 1992. At first, they did on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. Amazed how much what they did meant to those homeless people, Anna and Mark decided to carry on with it and do it every weekend. They provide those in need with warm clothes, a hot meal and things of vital necessity. The Landgrebes depend on people’s generosity to continue their good deed. Lots of people help with food, money, clothes and a restaurant owner have been providing cheeseburgers for their Saturday trips for the last five years. Anna and Mark believe they would get more volunteers involved thus being able to help more people.
