Man’s best friend became a hero earlier this year after he saved the life of a little girl, who was drowning in the freezing waters of the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Canada.
Nine year old Samara Sunshine and her 10 year old sister Krymzen were sledding near the river when they fell into the water. A man walking nearby heard their screams and saw the drowning Samara. The man, Adam Shaw, and his dog, Rocky, became heroes after Adam pulled Krymzen away from the water and Rocky jumped into the freezing water to search for Samara. The girl was able to grab his collar and the dog pulled her out of the river. The two girls were safe and sound thanks to their heroes, Adam and Rocky.
Cory Sunshine, the father of the girls, described Adam to the media as his “angel.”.
