A remorseful criminal returned to the crime scene in order to give back the cash he had stolen.
According to official reports, Cyle Warren Abbott Jr., a 23 year old man from California, robbed a gas station in Eureka, CA, US, around 6 A.M. on the 25th of October. The man waved a gun as he stole a couple of beers and some cash from the gas station. Approximately 3 hours later he returned to the crime scene and gave back most of the stolen cash. He apologized and even waited for the cops to show up. The man claimed he was about to use the money to start a new life outside of Eureka and told the police where he had left the gun. However, officers were unable to find the weapon.
Abbott Jr. was arrested and charged with probation violation and suspicion of armed robbery. His bail was set at $50,000. The amount of money he stole from the gas station remains undisclosed.
