He Yide from China, whom everybody calls Duoduo is 5 years old and now holds the Guinness world record as the youngest pilot. On August 31, 2013 the boy managed to fly successfully an ultralight aircraft for 35 minutes. The flight took place across the Beijing Wildlife Park and according to Zhang Yonghui, the director of the aviation club where Duoduo was taught how to fly, the approximate flight’s distance was 18 miles.
However, this is not the first time the boy gathers media attention. A video showing Duoduo run half naked in the snow at a freezing temperature, that was shot by the boy’s family, has gone viral on the web. Duoduo’s feats also include participating in an international yacht competition and climbing the Fujiyama mountain in Japan in a rainstorm.
He Liesheng, the boy’s father, also famous as ‘Eagle Dad’, has been a subject of debates regarding his strict parenting methods. Specialist from the China Youth and Children Research Centre have claimed that a failure in any of the boy’s endeavors would have affected him for life and that children at that age should enjoy just being children.
