The popular TV program “The Voice” features judges with turned backs to the stage, a random performer and a crowd. When the judges like the pefromance of the contestant they signal their approval by hitting a button and turning toward the stage. Little did these judges know what they’ll witness when they heard the astonishing singing by a Catholic nun.
The 25-year-old Sister Cristina Scuccia performed on stage Alica Key’s “No One”. Dressed in a typical Catholic nun outfit she was able to dazzle the judges and crowd with her unique singing ability. No one could’ve expected that a sister from the Ursuline Sisters of The Holy Family can sing like this.
The expressions on the faces of the judges once they realize they are watching a real nun sing on stage are priceless. While the crowd was cheering with absolute amazement Scuccia’s fellow sisters were jumping up and down of joy. Hopefully, Pope Francis will give that sister a call and express his astonishment as well.
