Edwin Robinson, 62, had been deaf and blind for nine years after a trailer accident caused a severe damage to his brain. He was outside his house one day when a lightning storm suddenly started. Edwin was using an aluminum cane as a walking stick so being struck by lightning was inevitable. The lightning blackened the grass around Edwin, blew out his hearing aid and knocked him unconscious for more than 20 minutes. When he recovered he managed to get back inside and fell asleep.
When he woke up, Edwin was amazed to discover he was able to see straight ahead, but had no peripheral vision, and he was also able to hear perfectly. What is more, shortly after the accident his hair started growing again after he had been bold for 35 years.
