Dr. Dove was a biologist in the University of Maine who got famous in the 1930s for his extraordinary experiment. The scientist was set on the idea of creating a “unicorn bull” and in 1933 he managed to turn his dream into reality. Dove transplanted the two knots of tissue on the sides of the animal’s head in the center of its forehead. Thus what would have developed into two horns grew as a single massive horn.
The unicorn bull soon turned into the unchallenged leader of his herd. What is more, the bull seemed to recognize his power given to him by the single horn and used it to overcome fences and barriers and also as an attack weapon. However, the bull was rather mild mannered as he obviously understood how strong he was and that conscience of his own power made him docile. According to Dr. Dove the single horn somehow had an impact on the animal’s mental abilities as well, as the bull was perfectly aware he didn’t need to prove anything to anyone.
