The Riley family from Clacton, UK thought their 7-month-old puppy named Geo was a dog just like any other. One day mother Carly and her three sons were going for a walk with their German shepherd-Collie mix when a truck suddenly appeared out of the blue and was about to wipe them all out. The only thing that saved 10-year-old Charlie was Geo’s immediate reaction : the dog must have sensed the truck coming as he just jumped on the boy and got him out of the way. Little Geo took the hit thus suffering a broken leg, a spine fracture and bruising but, luckily, he has a chance of a full recovery. The Rileys are having a hard time trying to come up with $16,000, the cost of Geo’s medical treatment, but are certain they’re going to help their dog regardless of the expenses.
