McDonald’s spent 18 years trying to sell as many burgers as Taco Bell’s Doritos Locos Tacos that were gone in just a couple of months
Who says McDonald’s is better than Taco Bell?
The famous Taco Bell restaurant chain was first found in 1962 in California. Up until present days, the fast food chain has had only one extremely successful item on their menu – and it beat even McDonald’s’ famous burgers! The item in question is the Dorito Loco Taco. Even now it’s known as the biggest product lunch in the fast food chain’s history. During the first 10 weeks of the Dorito Loco Taco launch the company managed to sell 100 million Tacos. In order to clarify what these numbers mean, McDonald’s took 18 years to sell 100 million burgers. That’s right, Taco Bell did it in only a couple of months while McDonald’s waited for nearly two decades for these numbers!
And if that doesn’t sound weighty enough for you, here’s another clarification: it meant 1 Dorito Loco Taco for every 3 people in The States.
