Check out this 3 year old toddler – he’s the youngest mayor America has ever seen!
Meet James Tufts – the 3 year old mayor, who is following into his older brother’s footsteps.
James was born exactly 3 years ago in a tiny town in Minnesota, US, named Dorset. The town currently has 22 citizens living there and they have chosen James as their new mayor. The toddler’s bro – 6 year old Robert – became mayor of Dorset at the age of 4 and now James has beaten his record. The kid is actually the youngest mayor in the US up to date and he’s currently enjoying all of the attention he’s getting.
James’ big brother has already served a couple of terms as mayor and he’s happy to see the key to the town is being passed down in the family. The voters in Dorset chose the 3 year old over the rest of the candidates after James won them over with his cuteness, his talkativeness and his promises. Instead of promising world peace, higher salaries, better insurances and all sorts of similar ideas politicians usually plant in our brains during elections, James simply promised the citizens of Dorset to give them ice cream. Now, who wouldn’t vote Yes to some ice cream?
Needless to say, the toddler’s parents are extremely proud of him and his brother. Their mother Emma, who is a food service director, shared that the kids were excited about the win and that they celebrated by getting their faces painted and talking with the 22 citizens of Dorset. Strangely enough, she also said that James’ plans for the future are far from a career in politics. Apparently the 3 year old boy wishes to become a fisherman once he grows up.
