There are many weird and wonderful things in this world which have no explanation, yet just amaze us. There are also masses of funny calls to 911 which include people calling and saying that their snowman has been stolen. Put these two things together, and you get just plain weird!
On the 17th of February, a 28 year old man called the emergency services, explaining that he was invisible. This meant that paramedics, along with the County Emergency Services and a Sheriff Office’s deputy were dispatched to that location.
With the first responders arriving before the deputy, the deputy was then told that in fact, the man was perfectly fine, and needed no medical help at all. In fact, paramedics had been dispatched to that address a few times over just the past few weeks.
The reason the man was invisible? Because he wanted the paramedics to take him to hospital, as his medication which he’d only just received less than 24 hours earlier, had already run out, and so to get him more medication.
Naturally, the emergency services and deputy were not too pleased by the numerous call outs, and he has been told that he needs to stop taking so much medication. He also received a final warning from the deputy that if he calls the emergency services out again and they are not actually needed, the sheriff’s office will arrest him.
This isn’t the only thing he’s done wrong though, with records showing that he’s already been arrested for criminal trespassing, and then failing to show in court. I wonder how long it’ll be before wasting police time is added to that list.
